New info as of today from Parks Ontario. Don’t pack your bags just yet. Although June 1st is a tentative date for camping opening, the key word is tentative and things are changing hourly. So stay tuned. Check updates on our website. Until given clear guidance by Parks Ontario – as soon as we know you will know. With these ever changing times, we want to let people know June 1st is the earliest possible opening. We are still waiting for the Go Ahead from the Ministry of Health and the French River Provincial Park.
In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we wish to inform all our loyal friends, family and guests that we will be closed to the public until June 1, 2020. Starting June 1, 2020 full use of the French River Provincial Park and camping will be permitted. We strongly recommend that you follow the link below up to 2 weeks in advance of arrival to purchase permits online. Click here for the Ontario Parks Reservation System (Tab to Backcountry Registration) or to see detailed instructions on how to purchase a permit click here. We are trying to ease up on line-ups and gathering in our office to help maintain physical distancing and to follow health and regulation guidelines.
For the time being groups can be no larger than 5 people in size on campsites. Although we are all excited to go camping please keep in mind government led initiatives regarding physical distancing and group size numbers. The fire ban is also lifted.
Cottage rentals are still unavailable at this time but stay tuned; as info comes available we will get it to you.
We no longer offer Valet Parking service at the marina due to the new norms. But our staff will assist you in finding a suitable parking spot for your vehicle.
Boat taxi service is no longer available at this time also.
On behalf of The Hartley Bay Marina team, We look forward to seeing you this season!
Marinas may begin preparations for the recreational boating season by servicing boats and other watercraft and placing boats in the water, but not open to the public. Boats and watercraft must be secured to a dock in the marina until public access is allowed.
We appreciate your understanding during this time of navigating uncharted waters, and we look forward to welcoming you as soon as we are able to do so. Once it is safe for us to operate again we will be available by email and telephone to answer any questions or to schedule services. Until then our office is closed to the public.
Let’s all work together, doing the right thing to keep everyone safe through social distancing and avoiding non-essential travel. Stay safe, healthy and in good spirits until we meet again - hopefully soon!
